This privacy notice explains how REMAP Scotland ('we') uses any personal information we collect about you.
What information do we collect about you?
REMAP Scotland collects and uses personal information on the basis that you have given your consent for us to do so, for example, to visit you to determine what aid we should design and make for you, keep records of aids we supply to you and to provide a service to you in connection to its use.
We collect information you provide by writing to us in any format and by filling in one of our Case Sheets, either yourself or in conjunction with your health professional or carer. By completing a Case Sheet, you consent to us using the information it contains to provide a service to you.
For how long do we keep this information?
We will keep this information until your aid has been supplied and for a period of 5 years thereafter, or until the aid has been returned to us. You may withdraw your consent to us holding your details at any time by emailing us at remap-scotland@btconnect.com or calling us on 01466 730705.
Who do we share your information with?
We use your information only to provide you with a one-off bespoke aid to help with your disability.
Marketing
We do not engage in fundraising or marketing. All our funding comes from donations. We will never lend or sell your information to any company or person.
Your rights
You have certain rights in respect of the information we hold about to you. You are entitled to a copy of the information we hold about you in a paper or electronic format and to request correction, erasure, or restriction of the information we hold about you.

Accuracy of the information we hold on you
Your information will be accurate at the point you receive the aid supplied. However, we shall not ask you for updates so, if at any time after giving us this information it becomes out of date, you can contact us directly if you wish and we shall amend it.
Internet communication, which includes email, is not secure. Protection of data by encryption is possible provided that the encryption method used is current and the correct procedure for encryption and decryption is followed. We cannot accept any responsibility for unauthorised access by a third party or for the loss, theft or modification of information while it is being sent to us by email.
Limitations of the Privacy Notice
Our website contains links to other websites. This privacy notice only applies to our website. When you use a link to another website, for example, donation websites, you should read the privacy policy of that site.
